Replacing your battery!

When replacing your lead-acid battery, you might think that there's nothing to it. Just loosen the screws and replace the battery.
Sure, you can do it like that, but what happens with all the electronics in your vehicle?

Most modern vehicles contains electronic equipment that need to be powered all the time. Your radio may loose its settings, and maybe you need to enter a code to start it again. Your car computer may be reset, and in worst case scenario, your alarm remote may be disabled.

Do you mean I cannot replace my battery?

No, of course that's not what I mean. All I'm saying is that you need to connect another power supply while your battery is disconnected. It could be another battery, or a battery charger with supply-mode. Just make sure the power supply stays below 16V, or the electronics may be damaged.
